Job Description & Requirements Labor & Delivery Nurse - (LD LPN) StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $22.00 - 25.00 One year acute care and/or related outpatient experience (within last three years). Depending on department, specific experience may be required. Depending on department, ACLS or PALS may be required. Demonstrated ability to use personal computer. The labor and delivery nurse (LD LPN) provides care to women and newborns during the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and neonatal stages of the childbirth process. L&D nurses provide support and monitor the mother s and baby s vital signs during birth and deal with potential problems that may arise. Labor and delivery nurses also provide support and education to mothers and their families after giving birth. The LD LPN works in hospitals, and maternity or birthing centers.
